The 4th World Scout Education Congress is a global event where key educators from National Scout Organizations and partners will address the pressing challenges facing young people and Scouting. By working together, we can shape the future of education in Scouting and drive non-formal education forward.
The 4th World Scout Education Congress is a unique opportunity for Scouting to come together to explore major themes facing young people in non-formal education:
Shaping a Just and Equitable World
Explore ways to empower future generations, preparing them for employment, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement, working towards closing the gap, fostering peace-building, and advocating for a more inclusive society.
Fostering Youth Leadership and Intergenerational Partnerships
Develop ways to promote youth leadership and the intergenerational partnerships that support young people to take on leadership roles and make a positive impact in their communities.
Thriving in a Digital World
Explore the use of technology as a tool for learning and personal growth, to communicate effectively, promote innovation, develop digital literacy and critical thinking skills, embrace adaptability and maintain digital wellbeing.
Towards an Inclusive and Engaged World
Build awareness of the importance of intercultural understanding, inter-religious solidarity, humanitarian action, diversity, cooperation between individuals and organisations, knowledge sharing, and innovation to cultivate global citizenship and strengthen young people’s resilience.
Education for sustainable development
Discover how education for sustainable development reinforces the key role and need for transformative education and empowers young people to address the urgent issues that threaten the well-being and prosperity of current and future generations.
More than 400 thought leaders, educators, academics, and partners from around the world will share and explore the latest trends and opportunities in education and youth development. Hosted by Scoutisme Francais at Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, the event will focus on enabling National Scout Organizations to advance their educational offering, strengthening World Scouting’s educational methods, and showcasing the role of Scouting in non-formal education.
Take part in the 4th World Scout Congress to build your capacities, learn how to modernise your Youth Programme, integrate Scouts for SDGs initiatives, and discover what's new from our global membership and beyond. Make your voice heard in engaging plenary, breakout, and networking sessions, and showcase non-formal education as a powerful vehicle for child and youth development.
For those unable to attend the event in person, some sessions will be held online and the plenary sessions will be streamed live over our digital channels.
Charting your journey
Interactive discussions and engaging plenaries will take participants on a journey in three stages:
Understand the current landscape and explore key challenges facing young people to develop a better understanding of non-formal education beyond 2030 and be prepared for future opportunities.
Explore Scouting's strengths and opportunities, and assess how we can adapt and innovate to stay relevant in an ever-changing world.
Create a clear roadmap for the future of Scouting that reflects our values, mission, and determination to keep Scouting relevant and effective in the years to come.
